• Welcome to my blog! My name is Laura and this is my window to the world.

I grew up in Scotland, spent six years in England and then moved to the States in 1997. Wherever I hang my hat, that's my home, and home has been Southern NH for the past 9 years and counting.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you enjoy sharing my life and passion for photography.

Little Man ‘Q’

Qs can be a challenge – especially if they are in your tiles for scrabble. But the most awesome thing about Qs is that used correctly, they can make or break the game!

I am making a sure bet that this Q is making this family complete, filling their home with love, laughter and warmth.

Who can resist baby feet?  I sure can’t!  I still love holding my 2 year old’s feet in my hand.

Just check out the love his big brother C has for him

Congratulations to my friends!  Q & C are going to be the most wonderful of brothers!

She’s sweet sixteen

R turned 16 and her parents asked me to do a high school session of her. I jumped at the chance and who wouldn’t! She has breathtaking eyes and has a serious future in modeling if she so chooses. We had fun downtown around the mill buildings and in the park. She even was asked for her autograph by an adoring fan – a taste of things to come perhaps?

My boys

I’d like to introduce you to my boys!

The youngest T-Boz (that’s his rap name) is approaching two and a half years old and is truly his Mumma’s baby.  His personality has really blossomed in the past year, including his mother’s signature independent streak.  Right now his obsession is Toy Story – we haven’t seen the latest movie yet, but I can’t wait to share this with him.  He is so in love with Woody especially; he sleeps with that doll.  That has been great as when he wakes up in the morning now, he is quite content to play away and we have to go get him.

The oldest L-Dog is a rock star in the making at five years old! He will play occasionally with cars and toys, but his real passion is getting up on his ‘stage’, singing into his microphone (which to my sometimes bleeding ears is amplified) and strumming away on his guitar. His heros are Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, and the Foo Fighters. However, he can belt out a great “Hey Soul Sister” from Train, complete with his mandolin which he bought for himself using his birthday money. Yes indeed, he marches to the beat of his own drum this one!

Bring on summer

At the beginning of the summer, I had the pleasure of photographing the T family along with my friend Kami. What a wonderful experience! The location was beautiful with lush meadow and weathered barns. The family just exuded love, laughter and fun! Who couldn’t fall in love with this gorgeous family?

Apple Blossoms

It was back in Spring and the Apple Blossoms were making that transition from bud to flower.  We were getting the first hint of warmer days to come and it was Mr. A’s first birthday.  A perfect combination for fun at the playground and a trip to the farm.  Big sister, P enjoyed herself posing for the camera too!

Thanks for a lovely afternoon out in the sunshine!
